Data We Collect
WorldwideTravelPlans.com does not require user accounts and does not collect names, email addresses, or payment information. We do collect anonymized analytics data and, when you use the destination search feature, the text of your search query (see below).
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, approximate geographic location, device type, and referral source. This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users. GA4 analytics are only loaded after you consent via our cookie banner. You can also opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Session Recording (Microsoft Clarity)
With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymized session data including mouse movement, scrolls, and clicks. This helps us understand how visitors use the site and improve the experience. Clarity does not capture passwords or payment information. You can review Microsoft's privacy policy at privacy.microsoft.com. Like GA4, Clarity is only loaded after you consent via our cookie banner.
Affiliate Links
This site plans to participate in affiliate programs. When active, affiliate links will be marked with ↗. Clicking them may result in partner sites placing cookies on your device governed by their own privacy policies. No affiliate tracking is currently active.
Destination Search (TravelConcierge)
When you use the destination search widget, the text you enter is sent to our server and forwarded to Google Gemini (Google AI Studio) to understand your travel intent. Google processes this query text under their AI API Terms of Service. On the free tier, Google may use query text to improve their models — we recommend not entering personal details in the search box. Query text is also logged temporarily in our server infrastructure (Vercel) and sent to GA4 as anonymized content gap events to help us prioritize which destination guides to write next.
Third-Party APIs
This site makes client-side requests to the Frankfurter API (frankfurter.dev) for currency conversion. These requests are made from your browser directly and do not pass through our servers.
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to request information about what data (if any) is associated with your visit, request deletion, or opt out of tracking. Since we do not collect personal data directly, most requests will not apply. You may decline analytics cookies via the cookie consent banner on your first visit.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
